ZipRealty Appoints Vice President Brokerage Operations, Western United States

Appointment of Jake Stanton adds accomplished executive to Brokerage Operations team, and strengthens leadership to propel growth and innovation in the residential real estate industry

EMERYVILLE, Calif. - August 2, 2012 - ZipRealty, (www.ziprealty.com; NASDAQ: ZIPR), a leading national real estate brokerage and provider of proprietary technology and comprehensive online marketing tools for the residential real estate brokerage industry, today announced that Jake Stanton has joined ZipRealty as Vice President Brokerage Operations for the Western United States. In this newly created position, Stanton will be responsible for leading ZipRealty's district directors (DDs) and district brokers (DBs) in the western region to achieve target profitability, recruiting and retention goals.

Stanton's real estate career began nearly 20 years ago in franchise sales for Cendant Corporation's hospitality division. His knowledge and professional drive carried him up the ladder over the course of 10 years with Cendant Corp.'s CENTURY 21 Real Estate Corporation, where he assumed positions of increased responsibility including Director of Franchise Services, VP of Field Services, and Senior Vice President of Franchise Support, where he was responsible for successful franchise renewals equating to more than $17 million in annual net fees. Stanton went on to become Vice President of Operations for Century 21 Prestige Realty Group, where he grew that company's team of licensed agents by more than 50 percent within the first twelve-month period. His most recent role was General Sales Manager for Prudential First Realty, a full service residential real estate firm in Iowa owned by Home Services of America, where he was responsible for real estate sales and administration, mortgage sales, as well as title and escrow services.
